nanopod axon terminal earringsI am completely in love with the artwork of Tosca Hidalg y Teran of Nanopod Hybrid Studio. This Toronto artist makes jewelry and sculpture based on items normally found in science fiction novels and anatomy textbooks, and the results are stunning. All of her work is strange and beautiful, like it comes from some alien landscape or a biology lab of the future. You can check out her work at her Etsy shop, or you can visit her website at http://www.nanopod.tv.

iusa_75x75.5879326I’ve been slowly but surely updating my shop with new jewelry over the last few weeks, with much more to come in the next month. I’m trying to clear out some inventory to make room for some brand new craft projects that are in the works, as well as some AMAZING vintage finds, but I need your help.  I just listed a ton of new bracelets and necklaces to go along with my Back To School Extravaganza Sale. From now until November 15th, buy 1 item and get the 2nd one absolutely FREE. If you spend $10 in the shop, get FREE shipping for everything you buy! Look cute for back to school and save money!

SOFT-bannerEmily from Heartsexplode has started a new Etsy shop called SOFT (Sewing Only For Tattoos). She’s making adorable bags for a good cause: to get herself some much-needed ink. All of the money she makes is going into a special tattoo fund, not to be touched until the day she can afford to get the tattoos she so desperately wants. Go check her stuff out and buy a bag or two – they’re hand-stitched and made with only the prettiest fabric around.

HE-large-iconI have to give some love to my lovely lady Emily from Heartsexplode. She’s been working on a bunch of new purses, bags and pouches made from reclaimed fabric and zippers, and I have to say, they are absolutely adorable. I’ve seen them in all stages of production, and she has poured her heart into these bags. Each one is carefully hand-stitched – no sewing machine needed for this girl. She’s adding more bags this week, so be on the lookout for even more cuteness! You should go check out her shop and buy something before they get snapped up.

P.S. Like the logo? I designed this sucker. If you want one for your shop, let me know at craftease@gmail.com.

octopus - boygirlpartyI stumbled upon boygirlparty.com at work today, and let’s just say it was love at first sight. Susie Ghahremani’s website is filled with adorable art, jewelry, clothing, paper goods and more, all featuring her unique style of animals and plants.  I’m in love with anything owl or octopus-related right now and am completely crushing on the Socktopus.  It’s an octopus. That knits. Awesome. She’s also got a neat blog and a band called Snoozer and is an all-around creative, crafty girl. You should check out her site, sign up for her mailing list,  and maybe buy a few things for you and the people you love.

PrettyPixels

PrettyPixels

I have a confession: I am always drawn to anything cute and cuddly. Kittens, boys, sweaters – in my book, as long as it makes me emit a high-pitched “squee” noise, I’m hooked. This is part of the reason that I’m completely in love with PrettyPixels. The shop owner Teresa combines adorable images of squirrels, owls and elephants with sassy sayings. PrettyPixels sells everything from buttons, stickers, notecards and postcards, all adorned with cute graphic images of Teresa’s own design. My personal favorites are the “My Heart Belongs to What’s-His-Face” button and the Digital Love notepads. She also has a sister shop called FeltLikeSpring, where she sells adorable felt headbands and hair clips, and a blog. If you’re in the Detroit area, go check her out at the Running With Scissors craft show on April 18th.
